IATF 16949

IATF 16949 is one of the automotive industry’s most widely used international standards for quality management, ISO/TS 16949, is evolving with the publication of a new global industry standard by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF). IATF 16949:2016 was published by the IATF on October 3rd, 2016 and supersedes and replaces the current ISO/TS 16949, defining the requirements of a quality management system for organizations in the automotive industry. It is aligned with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems standard and fully respecting this structure and requirements. IATF 16949:2016 brings together standards from other related standards and manufacturing requirement, outlining everything you need to know about achieving best practice when designing, developing, manufacturing, installing, or servicing automotive products. It is intended to be used by organizations of any size or industry, and can be used by any company. As an international standard, it is recognized as the basis for any company to create a system to ensure customer satisfaction and improvement, and as such, many companies demand this as the minimum requirement for an organization to be a supplier.

Integration with other standards:

IATF 16949 can be implemented as it has been based on ISO 9001. It is international recognition, and is an auditable standard which can be accredited by certification body. When a business already has ISO9001 in place, achieving IATF 16949 becomes much simpler. Quality Associates is an expert in system integration. We can embrace the IATF 16949 into other management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and others that related to your business as your needs. Internal Audit

One of the key tools for ensuring the suitability and effectiveness of your aerospace Quality Management System (QMS) is the internal audit process. The internal audit process is a systematic way to compare what is actually happening in your processes to what the expected outputs of your processes are. By doing this you can ensure that your processes are happening as planned and therefore implemented correctly, and you can assess the effectiveness of the processes in place.

Learn the audit conventions for preparing, performing, reporting, and follow-up. You will learn what they need to know to conduct an audit using IATF 16949 standard as required by customer.
