Aerospace

AS 9100/ AS 9110/ AS 9120

The specific quality standard for the aerospace industry, is now an essential step, demonstrating throughout the supply chain that safety, reliability, and confidence are top of the priority list to success in the increasingly competitive Aerospace Industry and to meet customer expectations.

The Aerospace Quality Management System Standards, AS 9100, AS 9110, AS 9120, specific to the industry provide: Internationally recognised frameworks for best practices Addressing the unique needs of manufacturers, maintenance and repair operations and distributors Providing multiple benefits to companies who chose to adopt the standards’ requirements. These standards were developed to produce a harmonized platform to ensure that all operations in the supply chain are adhering to best practice. They include all the existing elements of ISO 9001 and a variety of aerospace sector-specific requirements.

The Aerospace standards seek to: Improve customer satisfaction, quality & safety Reduce costs & lower customer-unique requirements Reduce the variation caused by multiple expectations Reduce and streamline audits conducted along the aerospace supply chain.

AS 9100 has key aspects which include safety, airworthiness, product conformity and reliability in the aerospace industry. These quality requirements are crucial to aerospace OEMs, which maintain high levels of liability for their product.

AS 9110 focuses on the control of repair schemes and maintenance plans, configuration management, and the skills and qualifications necessary to perform MRO tasks within the aerospace community.

    AS 9120 was developed for pass-through distributors of aerospace commodity items. This standard addresses chain of custody, traceability, control and availability of records.

    Integration with other standards:

    While AS9100 can be implemented as it has been based on ISO 9001. It is international recognition, and is an auditable standard which can be accredited by certification body. When a business already has ISO9001 in place, achieving AS9100 becomes much simpler. Quality Associates is an expert in system integration. We can embrace the AS 9100 into other system that related to your business as your needs. Please contact our customer service for inquiry. CONTACT US!

IH Training

AS9100/10/20

standard requirement training When your organization aligns to the aerospace AS 9100 standard, it not only reaps quality and efficiency benefits, but also is better able to meet customer expectations. To implement and certify AS 9100 can also provide a competitive advantage by:

Aerospace Experienced Auditors (AEAs) identifying opportunities for operational improvements and cost reduction;

Reduced number of customer audits required, and a corresponding reduction in needed resources;

Enhanced supplier performance due to higher quality, waste reduction, and a customer satisfaction focus.

Risk assessment

This course is to prepare participants be familiar with concepts and understanding on Risk, Risk Identification, Risk analysis and assessment, Risk and Opportunities, Risk mitigation, Control and Improvement action within the context of this standard.

Risk assessments are vital to protect your workers and your business. Risk-based thinking is now an even more prominent part of every Quality Management System, and thus those based upon ISO requirements, like AS9100.

Risk-based thinking is employed in many of the requirements of AS9100 Rev D, including many major clause references.

QAL helps you to focus on the risks that really matter, our risk assessment course will provide you with effective tools and skills you need to comply with.

Internal Audit

One of the key tools for ensuring the suitability and effectiveness of your aerospace Quality Management System (QMS) is the internal audit process. The internal audit process is a systematic way to compare what is actually happening in your processes to what the expected outputs of your processes are. By doing this you can ensure that your processes are happening as planned and therefore implemented correctly, and you can assess the effectiveness of the processes in place.

Learn the audit conventions for preparing, performing, reporting, and follow-up. You will learn what they need to know to conduct an audit using AS 9100/ AS 9110/ AS 9120 standard as required by customer.
